Impulsando la Sostenibilidad: Factores Clave en la Industria Automotriz Mexicana

En el noreste de México, a pesar del crecimiento económico, persisten problemas sociales y ambientales relacionados a la industria. Este estudio explora factores que promueven la sostenibilidad en la industria automotriz local. Utilizando métodos cuantitativos no experimentales, transversales, correlacionales y explicativos, se investigó el impacto de estos factores en 80 plantas manufactureras de la región. Mediante encuestas y un modelo de regresión lineal multivariable, se encontró apoyo empírico para la implementación de sistemas de gestión energética, la promoción de la igualdad de género, la formación y bienestar de los trabajadores, el aumento de la productividad del personal y la reducción de desechos sólidos. Se destaca que el impacto de la igualdad de género varía según el nivel jerárquico bajo. Sin embargo, no se encontró evidencia significativa sobre el efecto de las energías renovables y la reducción de carbono en la percepción de sostenibilidad. Las implicaciones gerenciales sugieren que estos conocimientos pueden contribuir a la prosperidad económica a largo plazo, minimizando el impacto ambiental y cumpliendo con un marco social ético. Los gerentes podrían alcanzar nuevos niveles de conciencia para adoptar la sostenibilidad, encontrando maneras de operar que no solo se centren en la dimensión económica, sino que también incluyendo los marcos sociales y ambientales.
