Author and Contributor Contribution Statement (Starting in June 2026)

At the end of the manuscript, prior to the list of references, a section titled “Author and Contributor Contribution Statement” must be included, specifying the role of each author and contributor in the development of the work.

Authorship confers academic credit and entails responsibility for the published content. To be recognized as an author, each participant must have contributed substantially to the work and declare, in accordance with the CRediT taxonomy, one or more of the following contributions:

  1. Conceptualization: Formulation of ideas, objectives, and general research goals.
  2. Methodology: Development and/or design of methodology; creation of models.
  3. Software: Programming and software development; design of computer programs; implementation of code and algorithms; testing of code components.
  4. Validation: Verification of the replicability and reproducibility of results, experiments, and other research outputs.
  5. Formal analysis: Application of statistical, mathematical, computational, or other techniques to analyze and synthesize data.
  6. Investigation: Conducting the formal research process, specifically performing experiments or collecting data/evidence.
  7. Resources: Provision of study materials, reagents, patients, animals, laboratory samples, instruments, computing resources, or other analysis tools.
  8. Data curation: Activities to generate metadata, clean data, and preserve research data for subsequent reuse.
  9. Writing – Original draft: Preparation, creation, and/or presentation of the published work, specifically drafting the initial version (including translation).
  10. Writing – Review and editing: Preparation, creation, and/or presentation of the published work by members of the original research team, specifically critical review and commentary, including pre- or post-publication stages.
  11. Visualization: Preparation, creation, and/or presentation of the published work, specifically data visualization and presentation.
  12. Supervision: Leadership and guidance in research planning and execution, including mentorship of the core team.
  13. Project administration: Management and coordination of research planning and execution activities.
  14. Funding acquisition: Securing financial support for the conduct and publication of the project.

Individuals who have contributed to the work but do not meet the authorship criteria should be acknowledged in an acknowledgments section or listed as collaborators, as appropriate.

Empirical research (Applied)

Case Research (Applied)

Documentary research (Conceptual)

Book reviews (Recensions)

I

Include antecedents, statement of the research problem, general hypothesis, objectives, research questions, justification and limitations.

It is not necessary to be based on any theory or to state hypotheses, although it must include the RESEARCH QUESTION and the possible constructs to be developed.

To present a superficial but precise idea of the different aspects that make up the work and its approach or the topic addressed. It is a summarized preview of those topics that later appear developed in the work as specific chapters or thematic sections. In this sense, it serves as a guide and motivation.

Make a systematic and personal introduction to an orderly relation of the central points of the book and how the author links them. Mention if the concepts are new or how they relate to previously read concepts. Be concise, direct and clear. Use quotations.

M

Document the theoretical basis of the problem statement and present other applied research that has empirically addressed the research problem.

The theoretical framework is not necessary, but present the case design. Include one or more theoretically useful cases to extend the theory, specifying the target population.

Present a structured, detailed and gradual substantiation of the research, including facts already presented by other researchers, analyze and evaluate them as an argumentative support that is reinforced with already proven hypotheses.

NON APPLICABLE

M

The general and specific hypotheses are presented, both in their version as working hypotheses and statistical hypotheses, the population, the sample, the research design and the adequacy of the methods used.

Specify the various methods used, and triangulate the qualitative with the quantitative and the different perspectives.

Report the data collection process and the overlap with the analysis.

Documentary research uses books, magazines, newspapers and any other document from which ideas can be extracted for the analysis and resolution of the problem posed.

NON APPLICABLE

R

Report the extent to which research questions were answered, objectives were met and specific hypotheses were tested.

Show the analysis within or between cases and patterns found and possible theory generation. Indicate the moment when theoretical saturation occurred in the study.

We analyze and reflect on the meaning and importance of the ideas presented, so that the result is an entertaining and at the same time well-documented text.

Personal assessment.

Mention what the reviewer thought was best, what you learned from your reading, what faults you found, and compare what you read with other texts.

Interesting quotations.

Include some shocking thoughts, write them down in quotation marks and include the page number.

D

Include a discussion of the results according to the research objectives, findings and possible future research.

The confirmation, extension and precision of the theory is presented when compared with existing theory, if any exists.

It is a synthesis of the most transcendental ideas on the subject and can serve as a guide for further documentary research.

The above points are summarized in simple form
