Nowadays, companies are in constant changes due to the competitiveness of globalization and Information Technology companies are no strangers to it, therefore, it is important to recognize what are the factors that indicate in the teams, by the nature of software development, it is important to emphasize that most of the work is done by teams that sometimes are not even in the same place. Thus, the objective of this research is to analyze the association between trust and coordination with the performance of software development work teams in southern Sonora, Mexico. The study was descriptive-correlational with quantitative design, an instrument was applied to measure the three factors of the study, the internal consistency and content validity of the survey was tested for the application to the study population. The relationship was confirmed by Pearson's correlation coefficient with a statistic of .674 between trust-team performance and in coordination with .726 indicating a strong positive correlation between the independent variables and the performance of work teams, therefore, it is concluded that both factors are important for software development companies.
